How to spot a genuine tub.
Supplement quality matters more than anything else on this page, so here is exactly what we check before a product leaves the shop — and what you can check yourself.

Check the seal
A shrink seal or security label that has been cut, re-stuck or looks uneven is the most obvious sign of a repackaged product. Compare the label edges with a product you already own.

Read the batch number
A printed batch or lot number and an expiry date are legally required on the pack. If either is missing, or the print quality does not match the rest of the label, that is worth asking about.

Check the manufacturing details
The company name, address and country of origin should be legible and consistent with the rest of the packaging. Smudged or misaligned text is a warning sign.

Compare the packaging itself
Look up images of the current packaging for the product. Brands do update their tub designs, and old and new packaging circulate side by side in some markets.
