What it is.

Straps remove grip as the limiting factor on deadlifts, rows and shrugs, which lets the muscles you are actually training work through more reps. They are a tool, not a shortcut — the muscles still have to do the work.

Cotton lifting straps with a neoprene wrist wrap for heavy pulls.

Key features

  • Heavy-duty cotton webbing
  • Neoprene wrist wrap for comfort
  • One size fits most wrists

Who it's for

  • Deadlifts, rows, shrugs and pull-ups where grip is the first thing to fail.
  • Anyone training heavy who has torn calluses and would rather not keep doing it.

How to use it

  1. 01 Wrap the strap around your wrist with the neoprene pad sitting on the inside of your wrist, away from the bar.
  2. 02 Loop the cotton end around the bar and pull back until the strap is tight — you should be able to hold the position briefly without the strap slipping.
  3. 03 Take them off between sets. Straps are for work that grip would otherwise limit, not for every rep.

Directions shown are general guidance from the manufacturer. Follow the label on your pack, and speak to a doctor if you have a health condition, are pregnant, or take medication.

Ask on WhatsApp

Do straps make deadlifts easier?

They take grip out of the equation, so you can use heavier grip demands on reps where grip would otherwise fail first. They do not build the posterior chain any differently — they just let it do more of the work.
